2008 Pro Street Rules Driver will draw a pill to get starting spot for heats, where they finish in the heats will be the way they start the feature. Heat will be 8 Laps and Feature will be 15 Laps. Fewer than 12 Cars will run Feature only ____________________________________________________________________________________SAFETY: Racing seat and five point seat belt no older then 3 years is a must. Fire extinguisher is mandatory with in driver reach and must work. All drivers must have fire suit and gloves. Helmet mandatory racing, snall2000 or better. ROLL CAGE: All cars required to have a full cage made of minimum 1.5 x .095 round tubing. Must have 3 door bars driver and 2 on other side. Bars need to be padded in driver compartment. NO EXHAUST TUBEING TO BE USED FOR SAFEY REASON. CHASSIS: Full factory frame or unibody cars with a minimum wheel base of 108”. Rear clips may be replaced with minimum 2”x3” tubing framing only from center of rear end back. No fabricated tubing-type front clips. 2”x3” tubing can only be used in front of steering box for bumper mounts. Uni-body front clips must be stock from behind first bend up to in front of steering box. Lower a-frames must be stock-type (OEM) only. REAR END: Factory OEM type. 9” Ford or floater type OK. Quick change rears add 50 lbs. Mounting point MUST remain in stock location. NO springs in third link. NO torque arms or lift bars. Solid link or rubber mounted third link only. Top link One 90/10 shock OK. Jack bolts allowed. SHOCK: One shock per wheel. Steel Shocks ONLY NO aluminum shocks. NO COIL-OVER. BODIES: Steel or aluminum bodies allowed. Fiberglass roofs OK, no other fiberglass. Stock appearing aftermarket nosepiece allowed. Cars with open rears and late model nose type bodies will add 100lbs. ENGINES: All steel block OEM only. NO dry-sump. NO roller cam. Headers allowed. MSD allowed. HEADS: Steel only. Stud girdles allowed. Stud mount roller rocker arms allowed. No shaft-type rocker system allowed. ($750 for heads must sell. Any one in the top five can only buy the winner) CARBURETORS/FUEL: Any 4 barrel/ gas only. Any carburetor spacer allowed. Shut off for fuel MUST be in reach of driver. NO electric fuel pumps. Fuel cell is mandatory. TIRES/WHEEL: Any tires. 10” Max steel wheel. Bead lock allowed. Must have 1” lugs. BRAKES: Aftermarket allowed, but calipers must be stock OEM. TRANSMISSIONS: Factory type/OEM transmissions, (Bert and Brinn Ok 250 LBS Must Be Added To Car.). Manual or automatic allowed. Racing clutch allowed. If using racing clutch, aluminum bell housing allowed. If using factory/OEM type clutch, you must run steel bell housing. Steel bell housings must have inspection hole. Driveshaft must be steel and painted white with drive shaft loop in two spots. WEIGHT: Minimum for all cars is 2750lbs. after race. (Late model body /nose add 100lbs. Quick Change add 50lbs Bert or Brinn Add 250 LBS.) Protest: $100.00 For Visual----------------------------------Track keeps $50.00*** Protester must also have visual first $750.00 for heads a pair must sell. Top five only can buy the winner (no stud girdles or rock arm will go with the pair) All clams must be filed with track personal on the front straight immediately following race. Race track has the right to give a racer one night to fix any problem with his or her car. Also, has right to change rules to make racing a better sport and more competitive.
