2008 Cruiser Car Rules

This class requires two (2) drivers per car.  Left side driver controls the steering and brakes and the right side driver controls the throttle. All drivers will draw a pill at the pit gate for starting place.  All races will be a rolling start.  Heat races will be 8 laps and Feature will be 12 laps.  Fewer than 12 cars will run feature only 15 laps. When the driver’s come thru the gate they will vote on which way to run.

DRIVER’S SAFTY:  Both driver’s must wear helmet (snall2000 racing style helmets or better no motorcycle helmets) along with fire resistant suit, fire resistant gloves at all times when on racing track.  Left and right side drivers must have a five point belts and racing seat, belts no older then 3 years and solid mounts in the car. Fire extinguisher securely mounted within reach of both drivers.

CARS ONLY: No convertibles or trucks.  OEM stock American made cars with original OEM engines only.

For any car Minimum wheelbase of 112”.  No modifications to body, suspension or engine. All glass including head and tail lights must be removed.  All doors must be welded shut; all cars must have working horn.  All cars must remove throttle pedal completely form left side and install it on right side out of reach of steering driver. If it is not stated in these rules, then it has to be stock as supplied by manufacturer.

ROLL CAGE:  4 point cage and bars 3 on each door side minimum. Only gut door out for the bars. (Inside only no bars out side the car.  No part of roll cage allowed going thru either firewall front or rear of car. NO EXHAUST TUBEING TO BE USED FOR SAFEY REASON.

REAR ENDS: OK to lock rear end if smaller then 370 engines. If bigger they have to be unlock

WHEEL AND TIRES: Racing wheel ok 15”x8” Maximum.  Large 5/8 wheel stud and 1” lug nut must have.

Standard D.O.T Street tires only.  NO mud grips, all terrain or snow tires or snow chains allowed.  No grooving of tires allowed.

BRAKES: All brake on car must be stock.  No aftermarket parts.

EXHAUST:  NO headers of a type allowed.

HIGH PERFORMSANCE PARTS: NO high performance part of any kind will be allowed.

IF DRIVER WINS 3 TIMES IN A ROW THEY WILL HAVE TO START IN THE REAR FOR THE NEXT RACES.

This is a complete car claimer class any fan, driver, or track can buy car for $750.00……

On the track Competitor will have the right to swap cars for $500.00……..

All claims are for complete car less seat belts and seat.  All clams must be filed with track personal on the front straight immediately following race.  CASH IN HAND

1. Any claimed car refusing to sale the first time will forfeit all points and monies for that event and will start in the rear next week one lap down.

2. The second refusal of sale will result in loss of points and monies for that event and will start in rear with two laps down the next week.

3. The third refusal of sale will result in loss of points and monies for that event and will start in rear with three laps down the next week.

4. After that we will start over again.

Race track has the right to give a racer one night to fix any problem with his or her car. . Also, has right to change rules to make racing a better sport and more competitive.
